Pencil Sketches

A collection of various quick 10 minute sketches, mostly experimenting with a range of different graphite pencils.

Inspired by our new chickens.

A study of some flowering chives we had in our garden. Black and white sketch, coloured pencils and the shapes torn out of a piece of patterened paper.

Very fast 2 min sketches of flowers, trying to get the sense of shapes and textures.

I think drawing faces is always a challenge and I’m determined to improve.

I saw my first hare of the year run past today, they always make me think of spring.

This is a sketch of a barn owl, we often have owls hooting outside at night and although I’m not sure what type they are it inspired me to draw this.

Working with a camera

I ventured out with my camera last week to start the first project in my new OCA course A Creative Approach. I haven’t managed to find something for all the categories yet, but will update it as i do.
