A couple of weeks ago it was the 30th birthday of one of my dearest friends, I was completely stuck for what to give her but she’s always telling me she’d love to try making stuff.
This morning my lovely son gave me one of the nicest presents ever – he went for an extra long nap! For the second time this week!!! This meant a very productive morning sewing, yay! (Who needs a clean and tidy house?!)
I managed to get the patchwork borders and storm-at-sea blocks attached to my modern medallion quilt in the first long nap, although I’m still working my way through all that satin stitching as you can see!
Here’s a peek at my latest finish, I call it ‘shades of green’, have a lovely weekend!
Yay I’ve finally finally finished my first Storm at Sea block for my handstitched medallion quilt, isn’t it a beauty! Turns out I love paper piecing, such fun!
Wow February was a super busy month! Some how between preparations for a family wedding, feeling horribly ill for nearly two weeks, and half term holidays I managed to fit in making a flannel tova, a tiny little apron and two and a half dresses. Of course I’m still slogging away on my handstitched class medallion quilt any chance I get as well! I don’t know where I found the time!
